After intense searches at Tasmac headquarters and premises related to the firm, the ED, in a press release on March 13, said it had found incriminating materials indicating a scam of Rs 1,000 crore.
Madras HC directed the ED to return all properties seized and sealed during the search conducted on May 16, until the writ petitions are finally adjudicated.
The ED’s counsel explained that premises were not sealed but notices were pasted to the effect that the premises “shall not be opened”, besides asking them to contact the agency.
