The VCK chief said he later decided to give Panruti seat to Islamiya Jananayaga Peravai state secretary Abdul Rahman, as he has been asking for an opportunity for a long time.
Earlier, going live on a social media platform, Thirumavalavan explained to members the rationale behind the party agreeing for fewer seats than what it had demanded.
Thirumavalavan alleged that the ruling party is not interested in the smooth functioning of Parliament and is actively suppressing the voice of the Opposition.
Thirumavalavan clarified that the VCK does not intend to exert pressure on the DMK regarding alliance decisions, stating that coalition-building is the DMK’s prerogative.
