The plea comes days after six masked men allegedly broke into Giribala Singh's Bhopal house on June 28 and burgled valuables, mainly from the former judge's room.
The CBI sought court permission to obtain the accused mother-son duo's voice samples and access the password-protected laptop seized during the investigation.
The burglars were reportedly preparing to leave with the loot when they heard the siren of a police patrol vehicle and abandoned the loot before fleeing.
As the CBI’s five-day custodial remand of the two accused ended at 2 pm on Tuesday, the mother-son duo was produced before the JMFC court in Bhopal around noon amid tight security.
CBI along with forensic and crime scene experts took Sharma's husband Samarth Singh and mother-in-law Giribala Singh, both in CBI custody, to give detailed account of happenings on May 12 night.
