The agency says Twisha faced sustained psychological harm and alleges her husband and former judge mother-in-law abetted her suicide; probe into dowry angle continues.
Samarth, a lawyer, and Giribala, a former district judge, were arrested by the CBI after it took over the investigation into former actor-model’s death.
Both Twisha’s husband Samarth Singh and ex-judge mother-in-law Giribala Singh (two accused in the case) have been housed at the Bhopal Central Jail since June 2.
A Bhopal court extended the judicial custody of the two accused — Twisha’s husband Samarth Singh and her former judge mother-in-law Giribala Singh till August 11.
The court also cited the gravity of the allegations, observing that the case involves the dowry death of a young married woman, a serious offence carrying severe penal consequences.
CBI tells court Samarth refused a voice sample over a "self-incriminating" script, while Giribala Singh allegedly did not complete the recording process.
