The fund disbursement process, initiated at the start of the academic year to assist families with educational expenses, will continue till July 24 for three days.
The government expects around 59,500 new admissions to Class I, 56,100 admissions to Junior Intermediate, besides rectifying nearly 1.55 lakh invalid or incomplete records.
HRD Minister Nara Lokesh sought details of student admissions in government schools, and instructed officials to take special measures to increase enrolment.
SC Welfare Officer KL Harshita stated that Intermediate first-year students need a new account linked to the NPCI portal, which can be opened without a PAN card using basic credentials.
Additionally, contract and outsourcing employees, and others classified as government employees have been excluded, despite many earning as little as Rs 10,000 or less per month.
