The NFHS-6 data clearly demonstrates the remarkable transformation in India’s health ecosystem under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Nadda said.
Nadda said that the number of medical colleges in the country has increased from 387 to 818, while undergraduate medical seats have risen to nearly 1.28 lakh.
Nadda added that nearly 1.45 crore families, including senior citizens, would be covered under the AB PM-JAY and are expected to benefit from the expanded healthcare coverage and interventions.
The minister reiterated that diagnosis alone was insufficient and emphasised the need for nutritional support, treatment adherence assistance, social protection and community solidarity.
The union minister alleged that Congress invited and sheltered infiltrators in Assam, even providing Aadhaar and Ayushman Bharat cards as part of appeasement politics.
