Meanwhile, the victim’s family alleged that she was not properly attended to at the hospital on the night of the incident and was asked to return home.
Police said the woman, returning home from work at a factory, saw one of the accused standing near the bus door and asked him the time, after which he allegedly dragged her inside and raped her.
Police have booked three individuals in connection with the heinous crime, including a former BJP office-bearer and a village pradhan, as authorities scramble to trace the absconding accused.
