The Odisha government had imposed a seven-month fishing ban within 20 km from the coast at the river mouth of Rushikulya to ensure the safety of Olive Ridleys during their mating and breeding season.
The government imposed the seven-month ban on fishing in around 120-km coastal areas in Gahirmatha and three river mouths from November 1, 2021 to May 31, 2022, to protect the Olive ridleys.
The mobile application will not require any cellular coverage network and will work in offline mode.
Besides providing tourists an opportunity to explore the beautiful destination, the festival will generate income for locals.
