Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has died in hospital after he was shot by an unknown attacker at an event in city of Nara. Eye-witnesses said they saw a man carrying a large gun and firing twice at Abe from behind. The first shot appears to have missed but the second shot hit Abe in the back. He immediately fell to the ground bleeding.
