The Ministry of Railway has taken a decision in this regard after months of consultation with Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
The changes are aimed at lessening the burden on candidates so that they can prepare for civil services examinations conducted by OPSC and UPSC simultaneously.
The petitioner submitted that he has worked hard for the examinations and was desirous of appearing in both.
The CM stressed the need to develop UPSCR to ensure the planned development of some of the cities in the wake of increasing population pressure.
Once the registration of an aspirant is completed, the information will remain stored securely in the Commission's servers, the UPSC has said.

Sharing this in a written reply in the Raya Sabha on Thursday, Union minister Jitendra Singh said that 8,913 candidates were selected for various civil administrative posts by the UPSC.
The preliminary examination was held on June 5, 2022. Nearly 11.52 lakh people have applied for the examination and as many as 13,090 candidates have qualified it, an official said.
Sources in the department said that an amount of Rs 1.25 lakh will be provided to an aspirant immediately after he/she clears the prelims.
Of the 685 candidates who cleared the Civil Services Exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for the year 2021, only 27 candidates are from Tamil Nadu.
