Centurion University to start classes in July

VISAKHAPATNAM: Former vice-chancellor of Andhra University GSN Raju has taken charge as vice-chancellor of Centurion University. The classes will commence from the temporary campus set up near Anandapuram in the city in July.
Raju told the media here on Wednesday, “The university will be providing internship and skill development courses, a top priority. Courses will be similar to those offered by University in Odisha.”

“Not just the academics, the university has partnership with 25 companies, where the student in each course can have industry partner for making projects. Industry integrated skill-based courses will be focusing on education with industry partnership in view of the latest developments in technology.”

“Students also get an opportunity to participate in high quality live projects which have been taken up as entrepreneurial ventures backed by the university. By the year-end, they will get hands-on skills on analysis, design and manufacture projects like Bi-plane, E-vehicle, electric scooter, racing cars and motorised bicycle,” Raju added. The university offers programmes in under-graduate, post-graduate and doctoral courses in the fields of engineering and technology, management and applied sciences, BTech, Biotech and PhD. The university will have a permanent campus near Vizianagaram in another two years.
