KOCHI: Reliance Communications Limited has announced the roll-out of its CDMA wireless broadband service, Reliance Netconnect Broadband Plus, with a downlink speed of 31.1 Mbps. Cherian Peter, CEO, Kerala Circle, Reliance Communications, said that this wireless broadband is the fastest internet service having a uplink speed of upto 1.8 Mbps offering 30 percent higher downlink rate in comparison to any other broadband offering.

Netconnect Broadband Plus is best suited for video streaming, video surveillance, media content and internet browsing.

This service will cover Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi in Kerala along with other 32 cities with seamless handover to highspeed 1x service covering 20,000 towns and 4.5 lakh villages in the country. It will also cover all major road and rail routes across the country covering 99 pc of India’s internet population.

The company will retail the product through 12,000 IT retail outlets as well as 2,300 exclusive Reliance Communications retail stores and nearly 240 Reliance World outlets. The product is launched in two Plug and Plus USB device variants.

The tariff starts from subscription charge of Rs 299 offering complete freedom to pay on use basis.

The company also offers unlimited night plan at Rs 499 per month.
