HYDERABAD: Infosys Technologies, India's second largest IT company, is mulling to increase its employee strength in China from the present 2,850 to 4000 this fiscal, a top company official said today.

"Currently, we have about 2,850 employees in China. We plan to immediately take it to around 4,000. At some point in the future, not in the next five years, 20,000 employees will be an estimate of our campus there," Infosys Managing Director and CEO Kris Gopalakrishnan said on the sidelines of CII event

"Eventually, Infosys is going to invest USD 100 million in its Chinese operation," he said but did not mention about the time frame.

"We now see the need to create a campus and this is what we have initiated and we are in discussions with Chinese government there for getting the land.
