CHENNAI: Korean major, Samsung Electronics on Wednesday, launched their interactive smart TV to consolidate their position.

Announcing the launch of the Samsung 2012 Smart television series, Raj Kumar Rishi, VP & Business Head, Audio Visual Business, Samsung India said, “Samsung’s global leadership in televisions has rested on our continued thrust on innovation and excellence. I am confident that the new Smart television range will help us create new segments and further fuel the growth of the flat panel television market in India”

Taking about their edge and strategy, Rishi said, “Samsung’s 2012 TV and AV strategy rests on three pillars: Smart Interaction, Smart Content, and Smart Evolution, and our 2012 Smart television range exemplifies the same”.

In Samsung 2012 Smart Television TV models LED ES8000 and ES7500 series, the users control the Smart TV through voice and motion commands. They have many interesting features like All Share play which enables limitless content sharing from device to device and device to cloud. The Smart TV has 1500 apps offered worldwide and 400 desi apps for Indian customers.

“TV, primarily remains a family entertainment device. Lot of convergence is happening in the technology field. In smart TV we tried to bring in the convenience of a PC, while enhancing the visual experience, said Raj Kumar Rishi.
