Toshiba forays into audio accessories segment

Japan-based Toshiba Corporation today entered into the audio products and accessories segment here through its subsidiary Toshiba Gulf FZE.

NEW DELHI: Japan-based Toshiba Corporation today entered into the audio products and accessories segment here through its subsidiary Toshiba Gulf FZE.

Toshiba Gulf FZE in partnership with Toshiba Lifestyle Electronics and Trading has launched a range of audio products which include wireless and wired earphones and Bluetooth speakers, sound-bars, portable music system, micro component systems and radios, the company said in a statement.

It has also appointed Intek Security Systems as its national distributor and tied up with major distributors, retail chains and e-tailers to consolidate its pan-India presence.

Commenting on the development, Toshiba Gulf FZE General Manager Santosh Varghese said: "With the launch of our complete range of audio products in India, we want to deliver high-quality performance at an outstanding value to customers.

" For Toshiba audio products, India is a strategic growth market which is estimated to reach billion dollar mark by 2020, he added.
