BANGALORE: After Kingfisher airlines its now the turn of Jet Airways, JetLite and Jet Airways Konnect to close all check-in counters 45 minutes prior to departure.
The airlines on Monday announced that with effect from August 4, it would close all check-in counters 45 minutes prior to departure at Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata.
This would mean that the airline would close the check-in counters 15 minutes earlier, in an effort to comply with the new directive from the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
The new guidelines would help mitigate flight delays and ensure a smooth transit for travellers.
The airlines also said boarding gates for domestic flights at the six metros would close 25 minutes prior to departure, enabling it to comply with the Air Transport Circular issued by the office of the DGCA to close aircraft door 15 minutes prior to departure.
The rest of the Jet Airways’ network in India will continue to close counters 30 minutes prior to departure.
