BANGALORE:  Unidentified miscreants displayed their skills again in the city by stealing gold and silver articles worth around Rs 50 lakh from a real estate businessman’s house at Gavipuram near Masti Venkatesh Iyengar Road in the wee hours of Tuesday.

The jewels belong to real estate businessman Tejaswi’s family. According to the police, Tejaswi had latched the door, but had  forgotten to lock it before going to sleep on Monday night. The miscreants, taking advantage of this, entered the house and made away with the jewels at around 2 am on Tuesday, the police explained.

Tejaswi, his wife and son were sleeping when the incident occurred. The theft came to light in the morning. Hanumanthanagar police have registered a case in this regard and further investigations are on.
