“How powerful our God is not the question. But the question is how powerful our faith is,” Brahmrishi Guruvanand Swamy (Gurudev) said.

At the Sri Krishna Janma Mahotsav organised at Palace Grounds on Sunday, Gurudev asked the devotees to follow the good path.

“There is a difference between entertainment and celebration. The Janma Mahotsav is a celebration and everyone is invited here to feel and experience the God, while in entertainment, people tend to forget and get involved in their enjoyment.”

Gurudev also said that one should treat bad deeds as steps and try to climb up to a new and meaningful life.

Gurudev thanked the devotees and Karnataka for hosting the Sri Krishna Janma Mahotsav.

He asked them to thank Lord Krishna and pray for his divine blessings.

Bangalore South Lok Sabha Member and BJP National General Secretary H N Ananth Kumar, who was present at the Mahotsav, said, “The  Bangalore city and the State are fortunate to play host to Gurudev. When I met Gurudev in Delhi, I had requested him for a darshan in Bangalore as North Indian devotees reside in a large number here. His presence will make a difference.”

National Convener of Brah Rishi Ashram, Vinod Bothra said, “Gurudev was born deaf and dumb. His kidneys also had problems. His parents took him to Devraha Baba who said that his purpose on earth is to foster religion and belief.”

Suresh Jalan, the organising member of the Mahotsav said, “This is a life changing experience. The Gurudev has taught us that the happiness should be explored in within ourselves and not out side.”

The programme was telecast live on the website sba.vmukti.com, the organisers said.
