BENGALURU: Jet Airways flight 9W 070 from Mumbai to Bangkok was diverted to Yangon, Myanmar on Wednesday due to technical reasons. The aircraft landed safely at 2.10 pm local time in Yangon, Myanmar.

''All guests were transferred to the airport terminal where they were served refreshments and looked after. Jet Airways operated a relief flight from Delhi to Yangon to enable the guests complete their journey terminating at Bangkok,'' Jet said in response to a query from The New Indian Express.

While JKert did not specify the reason, sources said, there had been a loss of cabin pressure on the aircraft.

As a result of the diversion, Jet Airways flights 9W 070 from Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh City and 9W 069 from Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok were cancelled. The airline made alternate travel arrangements for those flying between Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City.
