BENGALURU: Claiming that his relatives have conspired and filed a rape case against him, Madhukar G Angur, Chancellor of Alliance University, has alleged that police and the law enforcing machinery are being misused to prevent him from assuming office. Addressing a press meet, he maintained that he was the varsity chancellor for life as per the Alliance University Act 2010.
He alleged that vested interests had threatened employees against supporting him. “The employees have been forced to give statements against me,” he said.
Various organisations staged a protest and complained against Angur holding a press meet at a private hotel. Later, it was shifted to Press Club in the city.
