BENGALURU: Hundreds of students including Akhila Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad activists who tried to forcefully enter the regional office of Visvesvara Technological University in the city were stopped by the police on Wednesday.

They wanted the university to remove year back system for non-choice based credit system students. They were also protesting against the delay in announcement of results. Students had to write exams for 16 subjects within three months.

VTU college bandh tomorrow

All India Democratic Students Organisation and VTU Students Struggle Committee have called for a bandh of all engineering Colleges affiliated to VTU on Friday. However, several colleges warned students not to participate in the bandh.
