Hai Bangalore editor Ravi Belagere​ taken to Victoria Hospital again

Ravi Belagere, editor of tabloid Hai Bangalore, who was remanded in judicial custody on 11 December, was brought to Victoria Hospital again as his health reportedly deteriorated.

BENGALURU: Ravi Belagere, editor of tabloid Hai Bangalore, who was remanded in judicial custody on Monday, was brought to Victoria Hospital again on Tuesday as his health reportedly deteriorated. His condition was said to be stable.

Belagere was taken back to  Central Jail after medical examinations. His blood samples were taken for tests.On Friday, Belagere was arrested by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) police on charges of giving supari (contract to kill) to a sharpshooter to eliminate his former colleague Suneel Heggaravalli.

“An attender has been provided to the journalist to assist him as he is not able to walk or even stand on his own. His family had brought food and clothes for him and it was allowed by the officials to be given to him as per the doctors’ instructions,” the officer added.
