Malleswaram, 8th cross

Malleswaram 8th cross is known as one of the most busiest roads in the area, and is also known as one of the cheapest shopping areas in the city.

With street vendors all over the area, 8th cross is packed with shops selling fruits, vegetables, flowers, clothes, utensils, bags, shoes, etc. The place is also known for its famous hotels like the iconic Janata hotel. The street is also packed with temples and food stalls.

Commercial Street

Commercial Street is one of the most famous shopping streets in bangalore. The area covers almost every possible style of clothing, junk jewellery, accessories, silver jewellery, antique pieces, shoes, bags and crockery. The street is filled with high-end shops as well as many street vendors.

What we recommend: Get your fill of t-shirts and dresses, available in most of small shops for about Rs 200-400.

Chickpet

Chickpet is an overcrowded place known for having a vast variety of creative, craft goods. Designer blouses, artificial jewellery, roadside chaat, etc are what to look out for in this area.

National Market

National Market is known for being the go-to grey market in Bangalore. The area covers clothes, accessories, shoes, bags, chocolates, and most importantly, tech goods like mobile phones, mp3 players and cameras. The area is also known for Sukhsagar Mall, which is another spot filled with cheap shops, mostly selling ready-made clothes for men and women.

Jayanagar, 4th block
