A nine-year-old white tiger died of his injuries at Bannerghatta Biological Park near Bengaluru after an attack by Royal Bengal tigers on Sunday. 

Two white tigers, including the nine-year-old Shreyas, were injured on Sunday afternoon, after they sneaked through the gates separating them from the Royal Bengal tigers enclosure.

Another white tiger Amar is improving, who has injuries on his jaw and paw.

According to an NDTV report, the white tigers, a pigmented variation of the Royal Bengal tiger, were set upon by two other tigers when the gate between their enclosures was left open at the tiger safari. 

An enquiry has been launched to find out the cause of the mishap.
