Tap the spiritual energy within you

Shri Nimishananda

When the light of meditation envelopes our lives, universal prayers begin to flow out spontaneously from us. The very word ‘universe’ tells us something beautiful. If we meditate upon it we will understand that the whole cosmos is a single verse or a universe which emerged from god or the pure infinite cosmic consciousness. That is why we call it ‘universe’, where everything is harmoniously linked through the cosmic energy we call grace. Everything functions in perfect unison because it is activated and interwoven by the power of unconditional love.

A few weeks ago we learnt how the seed syllable of  ‘aum’ was the ‘single verse’ or sound from which the whole cosmos emerged. Over a period of centuries, many such holy words came out from enlightened beings and they were all compiled and called the scriptures. Now let us go a little deeper. Once we become aware of our oneness with the universe, our speech becomes charged with tremendous divine power. Every syllable, word or sentence we speak throbs with power. Our voice resonates with power and carries a transformative energy that penetrates the hard layers of karmic crust of those who come in contact with us and implodes inside them. They feel as if a bolt of lightning has activated the spiritual energy within. This sound which gets converted into energy going out from us sets in motion all kinds of momentous transformation in their lives. They suddenly feel like praying and meditating.

They become warm, considerate and caring. They begin to experience a great pull towards us because the unconditional love reverberating in our voice has activated and motivated their soul to seek liberation from rebirth. In the same manner, every word we write is charged with energy to transform others and change their lives incredibly. People feel that just to be in our presence, within the field of our aura is a transformative experience for them.

How does all this happen? It is just the dynamics of soul energy. When we are enlightened, we have a form, but we are always one with the formless. We have a personality outside, in order to communicate with people, but inside we are actually a limitless ocean of cosmic energy. That is why, in the scripture called Skanda Purana, Lord Shiva tells goddess Parvathi, “I bow down to the enlightened being in whom the divine functions of creation, sustenance, dissolution, control and the bestowal of grace are constantly revealed.” (Skanda Purana, Guru Gita, Verse 94)
