Chennai is a grand city with many top class star hotels in main areas of the city. A new entry to this list would the Hablis Hotels Pvt limited, which stands tall on the busy GST road, Guindy. The hotel was inaugurated by T M Bhasin, Chairman of Indian Bank, on Wednesday.
Rajesh Devarajan, the owner of this luxurious 4-star hotel, an Industrial Engineer and a former management consultant in US, seems confident about this new venture as he has a strong business background in their family.
Though the official inauguration of this hotel is set to happen in the month of July, the management is already confident about its business as the hotel is situated in a prime location of the city and also close to the airport.
“The interiors; the lobby and the restaurant were designed by interior designers whereas exteriors were handled by landscape designers. We did not want the whole hotel to look similar like the other sections, so we brought special designers,” explains Devarajan. “One of the key features of this hotel is the Irish Bar, The Moon and Sixpence. It was specially designed by an Irish architect, Ol Irish, whose first Indian project is Hablis. All the materials related to the bar were imported fully from Ireland,” says Srinvasan, the Vice President.
The full fledged functioning of the hotel is expected to begin in October as they still have few final finishes to touch up on. Hablis is just the maiden venture by the company and they are positively looking forward to expand their business to other places in future.
