SBH to Open 14 Branches by July

The State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH), an associate of the banking major State Bank of India, proposes to open 14 branches in Chennai zone by July 2014, according to the bank’s Managing Director, M Bhagavatha Rao.

Inaugurating the SBH’s new branch at Guduvanchery on the city outskirts recently, he said with this addition the number of SBH in Tamil Nadu has risen to 50.

In Chennai zone, the SBH has opened 14 branches during this financial year and proposes to open 4 more by March and 10 more by July, this year.

Stating that the Bank had declared the current financial year as a year of MSME, he said Chennai Zone’s contribution was to the tune of over `100 crore so far under MSME segment. Another `35 crores of growth is expected before March 2014, he added. Under the Retail Segment, the Chennai Zone achieved a growth of `650 crores during the current year.

As part of the bank’s CSR initiative, M Rrao, donated computers, hearing aid receivers and wheel chairs for the differently-abled children of Prabhavathi Jayaprakash Seva Kendra School situated at Nandivaram, Guduvanchery.
