Board exam result notice on social media fake: CBSE

The notice read that the result will be announced on May 11. However, the CBSE in its latest tweet declared that the notification was fake.

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education board is yet to confirm the date and time for the Class 10 and Class 12 Board Results 2023 announcement. A fake notice announcing the date of the results went viral on social media on Wednesday. The fake notice apparently kept a large number of students waiting.

The notice read that the result will be announced on May 11. However, the CBSE in its latest tweet declared that the notification was fake. “Please wait for the official release,” said CBSE official Rama Sharma.

The CBSE examination controller, Sanyam Bharadwaj also confirmed that the notice was fake.

The notice stated that the CBSE is hosting its results on the net with the technical support of the National Informatics Centre, Govt. of India. The students can access their results on the official website — cbseresults.nic.in, results.nic.in and results.nic.in. The fake notice contained the sign of Dr Joseph Emmanuel, Director (Academics). The fake notice had details including details on mark-sheet download, digital mark-sheet, among others.
