NEW DELHI: Police have formed multiple teams to identify those who allegedly strangled a 70-year-old woman to death during a robbery at her residence in southeast Delhi’s Pant Nagar, sources said on Saturday. The woman was found dead at her house located within the Nizamuddin police station limits after the alleged robbery. Police suspect that the accused might have targeted the house knowing that the woman was alone.
Police are scanning the CCTV footage obtained from the neighbourhood and adjoining roads to trace the movements of the suspects before and after the crime. Footage from cameras installed along possible escape routes is also being examined, the sources said.
No arrest has so far been made and the police teams are working on multiple leads to identify the accused, the sources further said.
