Two persons died on the spot in a road accident that took place at Gudur gate near NRI college of Kandukur police station in Cyberabad limits on Sunday.

 The accident took place when the victims were proceeding towards Srisailam in a cab from Kukatpally.

 According to police, a speeding DCM which was coming from the opposite direction knocked off the car and both passengers suffered severe head injuries and died on the spot.

 The deceased were identified as S Murali Krishna Raju, 30, cab driver and resident of Kukatpally and Pradeep Kelkar, 55, businessman, native of Maharashtra.

 The accident took place at around 6.

30 am on Sunday when their car reached the Gudur gate near NRI college.

 They were hit by a DCM van coming from opposite direction and the reason behind the accident is the invisibility due to a thick blanket of fog,” said Kandukur inspector S Chakrapani.

 The locals immediately informed 108 emergency services and police.

 Based on the complaint lodged by the Yashodhan Bhaguna, son-in-law of Pradeep Kelkar, police registered a case of negligence driving 304 (A) (Causing death by negligence) and 337 (Rash driving) under IPC and the investigation is on.
