HYDERABAD: The state government on Monday released the results of Andhra Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test (APTET)-2012 conducted on January 8 this year.

Minister for secondary education K Parthasarathy told reporters at the Secretariat that the pass percentage in Paper-I was 48.

As many as 54,488 candidates appeared and four grace marks were given.

In Paper- II (Maths and Science), the pass percentage was 57.

The number of candidates was 1,93,013 and the grace marks given were ten.

In Paper-II, the pass percentage was 45.

As many as 2,09,132 candidates took the test and eight grace marks were given to the candidates, he said.

The grace marks were given following large-scale complaints from the candidates that the questions were tough and many of them were from outside the syllabus.

Based on the international accepted method (statistical method), the grace marks were given to candidates, the minister said.
