HYDERABAD: Three people died and two others were injured in two different road accidents in the city.

Police said two farmers, from Kottur mandal in Rangareddy district, died on the spot when a jeep hit the auto rickshaw in which they were travelling at Rajendranagar on Friday night.

Four farmers -- Sankaraiah, Jangaiah, Suresh and Yadaiah were coming to the city by an auto to sell their crop in the market.

Near ANG Ranga Agriculture University, the auto tyre got punctured. The farmers got down the vehicle and were standing on the road when an ambulance, belonging to a private hospital in Kurnool, ran over them.

In another incident, Ch Vasu, an employee of GVR Club, died on the spot after his bike rammed into the divider at Bowenpally on Friday night.

Vasu was riding pillion on his friend's bike. His friend fled the spot after the accident.
