Three new government SW colleges for girls

The state government will set up social welfare residential government degree colleges for girls in three places in the state.

The colleges will come up at Vijayawada, Budhira and Kalikiri in the current academic year, will offer three-year B.Com (Hons). A screening test will be conducted on July 28 for admission. Candiates who have passed Intermediate and whose family’s annual income is below Rs 2 lakh in case of SCs and STs, and Rs 1 lakh in case of other categories are eligible.

Seventy percent weightage will be given to marks obtained in Intermediate or equivalent examination and 30 percent to marks obtained in the screening test.The last date for applications is July 24. Further details from www.apcce.gov.in.
