For most of us, who were born in the 90s, slapstick comedy would mean The Tom and Jerry Show. The classic Cartoon Network show that aired every evening, used to be ‘the’ TV time for most every kid. If it was Jerry’s delight at finding Swiss cheese that ticked, then the house keeper’s delicious chicken left us feeling hungry as well. Spike protecting Jerry from Tom, Tom flirting with Toodles, and of course, the usual Tom and Jerry chase were the antics that made the show one of the most viewed in its time.

However, as fun as they were, reruns of the same haven’t really helped keep The Tom and Jerry show that interesting. Which is why the network is coming up with a new series, promising much more exciting story lines and new worlds to support these story arcs.

Though centered around the same old classic cat chasing mouse sequence, the whole story will no longer be limited to their usual suburban setting. Instead, there’s a witch’s den in the medieval period to a scientist’s laboratory from the modern era.

The all-new series starts from today on Cartoon Network. Also, a ‘Catch and Win’ contest is being held for viewers of the show.
