Spreading Awareness on Cancer

Wearing pink caps and holding a banner in hand, the denizens of the city walked at various locations in the city to spread awareness on cancer. The walkathon was organised by Apollo Clinic, primary healthcare centre, at Apollo Clinics are located across the city – Chanda Nagar, SR Nagar, Vanasthalipuram, Kondapur, Jubilee Hills, AS Rao Nagar, Nallakunta.

Oncologist from Apollo Clinic, Dr TPS Bhandari emphasised regular check-ups which will help detect cancer early.

He also added that women are most commonly affected by cervical, breast, endometrial and ovarian cancer.  About 600 people participated in the walk.
