City Youth Bags 4th Rank in GATE 2016

HYDERABAD:  Naveen Kolli of Hyderabad has secured all India fourth rank in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (Gate 2016) exam. Naveen, who is currently in his B Tech (ECE)fourth year at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad, said that he eventually wants to be a teacher.  “After BTech, I want to do my M Tech from Indian Institute of Science (IISC), Bangalore. Later, I want to work in ISRO and eventually will be a teacher and would produce more skilled engineers in the country.” “I have no interest to study or work  abroad. Right now, I have no clue whether I would go for further studies after M Tech or find a job,” he added.

Kolli took his GATE coaching at Triumphant Institute of Management Education, Hyderabad. 

GATE 2016 examinations were held from January 30. GATE exam is conducted every year for postgraduate courses across the country.

GATE score is also used for direct recruitment to Group A level posts, that is, Senior Field Office (SFO Tele), Senior Research Officer (SRO) (Crypto) and SRO(S&T). The examination was conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISC), Bangalore on behalf of the Union ministry of Human Resource Development. A total of 9,71,831 candidates had registered for GATE 2016 and 8,18,850  appeared for the examination.
