Purushotham Reddy’s custody order reserved to February 21

HYDERABAD: The ACB court reserved its order on a petition by the ACB officials seeking custody of suspended HMDA planning director K Purushotham Reddy, to February 21. A few days ago, the ACB officials filed a petition before the court seeking custody of Purushotham Reddy for questioning him in connection with the illegal assets amassed by him. After Purushotham Reddy’s counsel filed an counter, arguments took place and the court reserved the order to February 21.

Meanwhile, the court has given an order extending police custody of Yadava Reddy and Nishanth Reddy for questioning. Earlier, the court granted four day custody of two accused and the period came to end on Monday. As the ACB officials pleaded the court to grant two more days of police custody, the court allowed the agency to question the accused further two days.

It is reported that the ACB officials unearthed some more properties during the questioning of Yadava Reddy and Nishanth Reddy.  Three immovable properties of Purushotham Reddy were identified and these properties were registered on the name of benamies of Yadava Reddy and Nishanth Reddy.  The ACB officials visited Srinivas Reddy’s residence located at SR Nagar to search as per court directions.
