HYDERABAD: Gachibowli police have registered a case against a man for allegedly sexually assaulting a 28-year-old woman under the pretext of marriage.

The accused, identified as Matthew Paul Mallipudi, had reportedly known the victim for ten years. In March 2026, the accused allegedly lured the victim to a Gachibowli hotel under the guise of celebrating his birthday. Upon reaching there, he allegedly forced himself upon her. During the incident, he secretly recorded compromised photographs and videos of the victim, police said.

Mallipudi later threatened to leak the visuals on social media if she failed to comply with his demands. When she resisted, he allegedly uploaded her compromised photos and videos on Instagram.

The victim further alleged that the accused married another woman, yet continued to force a physical relationship.
