Case Against Recruitment Company

KOCHI: The Ernakulam Central police on Monday registered a case against a recruitment firm on Chittoor road here for allegedly cheating around 33 nurses who were sent to Kuwait promising jobs there. The case was registered after a group of students under the banner of India Student’s Association staged a protest in front of the recruitment firm demanding return of the money taken from the nurses. The nurses are reportedly living in Kuwait without jobs and are struggling to survive. The recruitment firm had allegedly sent the nurses to Kuwait in last November after taking a sum of `7 lakh from each person. According to the police officials, an investigation is on to find out the details.  “We will further interrogate the proprietors of the firm ,” said a police official.
