KOCHI: A souvenir ‘Ithihasam Kochiyil’ was released here on Tuesday in connection with the staging of ‘Khasakkinte Ithihasam’ play.
The souvenir was released by critic M K Sanu at a function held at the Ernakulam Press Club. The souvenir comprises memories and experiences of renowned personalities about O V Vijayan and his classic novel ‘Khasakkinte Ithihasam’.
It includes memoirs of M K Sanu, historian M G S Narayanan, O V Usha (O V Vijayan’s sister), writer K L Mohana Varma, filmmaker Lal Jose, music director Bijibal and theatre artists T M Abraham, Chandradasan and Sasidharan Naduvil among others. The souvenir is edited by writer-actor Madhan Babu.
The play ‘Khasakkinte Ithihasam’ will be staged at Sacred Heart College Ground, Thevara, at 6.30 pm on April 21, 22 and 23. It is being staged under the aegis of the Rotary Kochi United.
The proceedings from the show will be used for buying equipment for the Reconstructive Surgery Department of the Ernakulam General Hospital.
