THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Air Marshal S Radhakrishan, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Air command (SAC), will be retiring on August 31 after a distinguished service of 39 years.

He took over the reins of the SAC on October 1, 2008. During his stint as SAC Chief, he had brought about many significant changes. The operational capabilities of the SAC were overhauled to snuff out all  the vulnerabilities.
