THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Founder and chief architect of Habitat Technology Group G. Shankar sustained injuries after his fingers were trapped in the rear door of his car at Vyloppilli Samskrithi Bhavan here on Tuesday.

According to sources Shankar, an ardent lover of art, had come to attend the concert of ghazal maestro Umbayi at Vyloppilli Samskriti Bhavan on Tuesday evening when his fingers accidently got trapped in the rear door of his car.

A technical problem in the central locking system of the car made it impossible for Shankar to set free his fingers for about half-an hour. Later the Fire and Rescue Services personnel were brought in who set free his fingers after trying for over 15 minutes.

Shankar was immediately rushed to a hospital and given medical aid.
