THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:  Nissan Motor Pvt Ltd (NMIPL) on Wednesday formally inaugurated Marikar Nissan in the city. The dealership was inaugurated by Manoj Kumar, vice-president, operations, Hover Automobiles India in the presence of Ameer Shahul, head,communications, Nissan Motors India. This is the 47th Nissan dealership and it marks the steady and focus approach towards establishing 100 dealerships by 2012-end.

  A press release here, said that the new Marikar Nissan is located in Anayara, which is easily accessible for prospective customers across the entire southern part of the state. The showroom with sales, service and spares provides high-quality service standards bench-marked by Nissan globally.

  Manoj Kumar said that the increasing customer demand for new products has led to the expansion of the dealer footprint across the country. “This dealership opportunity provides us with a great platform for replicating our high standards in Southern Kerala,” he said.

  Ameer Shahul said that Southern Kerala has been very important in Nissan’s plans in India. Zulfiquar Marikar, MD, Marikar Nissan said, “We intend to benefit from our deep understanding of the local market here and provide Nissan consumers best in the class service,” he said.

  The company today has 47 dealerships operational across the country. Nissan Motors now offers Nissa Micra (compact hatchback), Nissan Sunny (Mid-sized sedan), Nissan Teana (luxury sedan), Nissan X-trail (SUV model) and Nissan 270z (Iconic sports car) to its customers.
