THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The general body meeting of Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) Managers’ Welfare Association, which met here the other day elected Palode Ravi MLA, as the president and Biji Anand as general secretary of the body.

  Alex P Joshua is vice-president and Bilal Mohammed is the treasurer. K M Bindhu and Jaibee Kolarmalil were elected joint secretaries.

  The meeting urged the government to retrieve various KTDC properties managed at present by private operators in many places in the state.   

  The meet hailed the increased outlay for tourism promotion in the 2012-13 state budget and thanked Finance Minister K M Mani and Tourism Minister A P Anil Kumar for the concerted steps initiated to realise more infrastructure in the sector.

  It was also decided to organise a seminar shortly on Kerala Tourism, with the participation of  experts.
