VIJAYAWADA: Elaborate arrangements are being made by Krishna District Sepak Takraw Association to conduct the 5th South Zone Sepak Takraw Championship-2017 at Dandamudi Rajagopal Rao Municipal Corporation Indoor Stadium (DRMC) in the city from August 28 to 30.
The championship is being organised by the AP Sepak Takraw Association, Sepak Takraw Association of India, the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) and the AP Olympic Association. Organising president P Balamurali Krishna on Sunday said that Sports Minister Kollu Ravindra will participate as a chief guest in the inaugural session of the three-day event.
He said that as many as 300 players, including men and women from seven States, will be participating in the event. The association will offer free food and accommodation. The valedictory of the event will be held on August 30.
