VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to complete the formalities for giving Group II posting to Lakshmi Prasanna, who lost her mother and two sisters in Anantapur district recently.
Lakshmi Prasanna from Tadipatri town of Anantapur district is the only survivor in her family as her father Subba Reddy murdered her mother Sulochana and her two sisters Sai Pratibha and Pratyusha. Later, Reddy too ended his life by consuming pesticide.
Lakshmi Prasanna was lucky as she was out of residence on the fateful day on July 5.After learning about the incident, the Chief Minister announced to extend all possible help to Lakshmi Prasanna and also offered her `20 lakh financial aid.
On Tuesday, accompanied by Anantapur MP JC Diwakar Reddy and Tadipatri MLA JC Prabhakar Reddy, Lakshmi interacted with Naidu at the Interim Government Complex in Velagapudi. After learning that she has completed M.Sc Organic Chemistry, the Chief Minister instructed the officials to take steps for appointing her as Group II officer at the earliest.
