VIJAYAWADA: Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has sought to know why the State BJP president Kanna Lakshminarayana had failed to mention about Special Category Status (SCS) and Kapu reservation issues in the memorandum submitted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In the memorandum consisting of 12 points, the State BJP  president had deliberately ignored to mention the SCS, which was promised to AP during the State bifurcation, and the Kapu reservation issue, even as the State government passing the Bill extending 5 per cent reservation to Kapus under BC E category in education and employment and sending the same for approval of the Centre.

In a press release issued here on Wednesday, Ramakrishnudu took exception to the “two movies” remark made by YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy. Accusing the BJP, YSRC and Jana Sena of trying to create confusion among people, he said all the three parties are going against the interests of the people of the State. He also alleged  that the Centre was weakening the financial stability of State governments by adopting objectionable policies.
