VIJAYAWADA: An 18-year-old Intermediate student was found dead under suspicious circumstances at a private college in Kankipadu on Friday evening. The deceased, identified as K Charan, was found hanging in his hostel room.
According to Kankipadu police, Charan strangulated himself with a bedsheet around 4 pm, after his classes had ended for the day. His friends broke open the door when he failed to respond to their calls.
They immediately took him to a nearby hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead. Charan hailed from Veldurthi village in Kurnool district. A case under Section 174 of CrPC was registered and investigation is on.
