Modi Pledges Commitment to Non-violence on Buddha Purnima

Pledging commitment to non-violence and world peace, BJP's Prime Ministerial nominee Narendra Modi today greeted the people on the occasion of 'Buddh Purnima'.

"We pledge our commitment to world peace, non-violence and service to humankind, ideals that were very close to Lord Buddha," Modi said on the Twitter.

"On Buddha Purnima, we bow to the venerable Lord Buddha, whose teachings have guided the entire humanity for centuries," he said.

Buddha Purnima is observed as Lord Buddha's birth anniversary.
