THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The fifth Jaihind TV awards have been announced. The award winners were selected by a jury headed by Pandalam Sudhakaran.
The film ‘Pranayam’ bagged the award for the best film while the award for the best director went to Rajesh Pillai for the film ‘Traffic’. The award for the best actor went to Mohanlal for his role in the film ‘Pranayam’ and Padmapriya was selected for the best actress award. Unni Mukundan was selected for the best debut actor award.
The best screenplay award went to Shyam Pushkaran and Dilish Nair of ‘Salt and Pepper’. Suraj Venjarammood bagged the best comedy actor award.
The awards will be presented on May 12 at a function to be held at the Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium, here.
