Starting Monday, ETV Odia will air serials ‘Sabu Thik Thak - All is Well,’ ‘Tapasya,’ ‘Rajkanya,’ ‘Force Garuda’. Also on the cards is the second season of popular reality show ‘Dance Dhamaal’.

While ‘Sabu Thik Thak’ promises to be a laugh riot revolving around lives of an unemployed youth Som and Sruti, daughter of an affluent man, Tapasya is the story of Seema whose life is changed after a sudden spurt of incidents. The show timings are Monday to Saturday 7 pm and Monday to Friday 9 pm respectively.

Similarly, Rajkanya which will be aired from Monday to Friday at 9.30 pm, is the story of Purbasa who is born into a royal family that has lost its dynasty and glory post Independence. Rajkanya will be followed by Force Garuda at 10 pm which seems to follow the Odia version of Sony’s crime detective CID.

After the highly successful first season that saw celebrities shake a leg, the channel will air the second season of dance reality show Dance Dhamaal 2 from August 3 every weekend. This season will see the seasoned and beautiful actress Mahasweta Ray, director Sudhakar Basant and Sritam Mishra judging the show that would open its doors to dancing talents from across Odisha. The show is the brainchild of choreographer Bobby Isam.

Executive Vice-President of Viacom & Business Head (ETV Odia) Ravish Kumar said the new shows are varied in their genre and have been created to provide a complete entertainment package to Odia viewers. ‘’It is with this thought that we have launched a variety of shows ranging from sitcom to action to reality,’’ he said at a media conference on Thursday.

ETV Odia, launched back in 2002, has been quite popular among the audience for its shows like Gayatri, Tulasi, Mausi and Bhagyabidhata, among others.
